2026-10-13 19:00:00Z	Oct. 13, 2026		Darcy Mykytyshyn	District Governor Rotary 5360		Oct. 13, 2026 7:00 p.m.			Darcy Mykytyshyn is the inaugural CEO of the Red Deer Homeless Foundation, where he is championing one of Alberta’s most ambitious community-driven responses to homelessness through Project Nexus—an integrated model designed to move people from crisis to stability with dignity and support. A seasoned executive and governance leader, Darcy has held senior roles in post-secondary education, financial services, and the private sector, and has served on numerous boards shaping economic and community development locally, provincially, and nationally. He is also a deeply committed Rotarian who prior to serving as District Governor for 2026–27, served as President of the Red Deer Rotary Club on three occasions, Treasurer for five years and Co-Chair of Marketing and Communications for the Host Organizing Committee of the 2025 RI Convention in Calgary. Known for bringing people together around complex challenges, Darcy is driven by a simple belief: lasting solutions are built with the community, not for it. In his downtime, he skis, he golfs, and as much as possible, spends time with his wife Loretta and two boys, Sam and Nate.	View

2026-10-24 19:00:00Z	Oct. 24, 2026		Pins 4 Polio			Oct. 24, 2026 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.		Toppler Bowl	The Pins 4 Polio is here. It is time for every District 5360 club to represent. The event is not about good bowling but fun, fellowship and PolioPlus! The District is hosting Pins 4 Polio on Saturday Oct 24th from 7 - 9pm at Toppler Bowl to have some fun and raise money for PolioPlus. This will be a multi-club event and a great way to raise monies for PolioPlus on World Polio Day. There are only 8 teams remaining available (4 or 5 players). Non-Rotarians of course are welcome. Cost is $40 per person (please bring cash to pay at the event). 50% of the ticket goes to the Foundation for Polio Plus. Register here to attend right away. If the club has registrants, we will book a lane for the Club and show the rest of them how to bowl and have fun while contributing for an end to Polio.	View

2026-10-28 18:00:00Z	Oct. 28, 2026		Tri-group Chili Cookoff and Fundraiser			Oct. 28, 2026 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.		Triwood Community Association	Rotary Calgary Downtown, Rotary Calgary Olympic, and Rotary Chestermere will be joining for a Tri-group Chili Cookoff and Fundraiser for Rotary endpolio.org. Rotary Calgary Olympic will be the gracious hosts at their new location. Triwood Community Association 2244 Chicoutimi Drive NW Each Rotary Club will bring 2 crockpots of chili. Buns, salad, drinks, and desserts will be provided. There is a suggested donation of $20 per person to Rotary Polio Plus. There will be prizes for the best chili. Fun and goodwill is for certain. We will even watch Rotary World Polio Day videos. This event will be a good start for future goodwill events and exchanges between these clubs.	View
