The Chestermere Go Girl progam returned to Chestermere this May 15, 2026 at the Calgary Yacht Club. The full day event helped the participating girls build their confidence, stay active, and make friends. During the day, the girls had the chance to try different sports and wellness activities: sailing, dance, football, yoga, stepping stones, and self-image

The Go Girl program remains a critical initiative to support girls in Chestermere as they build confidence and participate in sports. This program gives the girls a safe place and a step up.

The Chestermere community makes this program impactful and enjoyable. Synergy, Calgary Yacht Club, Rocky View Schools, Alberta Health Services, Little Lake Locals, Stepping Stones to Mental Health, and the Calgary Rural Primary Care Network run the event smoothly with volunteers, location, and expertise. The girls feel included in the community.
